Speakers Bureau

CLEA operates a Speakers Bureau of volunteer lawyers who give us their time each year to provide legal information sessions to the community on request. The service is free to community groups and agencies. However, donations are gratefully appreciated. We try to provide these services throughout Manitoba using local volunteers, but our efforts may be limited by availability of volunteers.

Speakers are available on a whole range of legal topics including:

• Canadian legal system and courts
• Child abuse and child protection
• Child Custody/access/support
• Consumer law
• Criminal law
• Human rights law
• Residential tenancies
• Separation & divorce
• Welfare law
• Wills and Estates
• Youth law

We require at least 6 weeks notice of the presentation requested in order to coordinate our volunteer speakers and to confirm all arrangements.
