Community Legal Intermediary Training Course – Immigration Law

Our next Community Legal Intermediary Training Course will be on Immigration Law. Our presenter is David Davis.

David has 31 years of legal experience with a focus in Business Investment and Skilled Worker immigration law as well as Family Reunification.

Recent accomplishment: graduating with Masters of Law degree from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in the GPLLM program with focus in Innovation, Law & Technology.

David is a past graduate with LLB from UBC LAW in Vancouver in 1988 and BA degree at U OF M in Winnipeg in 1985.

David is a frequent guest speaker at Canadian Bar Association immigration legal conferences and the Law Society of Manitoba, Past chair of the Immigration Law section of the Manitoba Bar Association in Winnipeg and current Chair of the Legal Research section of the MBA. David has hosted many webinars for lawyers in Tech law and Legal Research during the pandemic.

David prepared legal submissions and appeared before Senate and House of Commons committees on Immigration law in addition to preparing legal briefs on behalf of the Canadian Bar Association National Immigration Section. He is the author of immigration articles and tech law articles for the justice newsletter for members of the Manitoba Bar Association.

David is an avid sports enthusiast, but mostly enjoys playing: golf, downhill skiing, tennis, touch football and floor hockey.
