Our presenter is Len Fishman of Fishman Beley Family Law Associates.
Called to the Bar in 1975, after graduating from the University of Manitoba, Len Fishman has focused his practice on family law. He and Terry Beley have been practising together since 1992 under the name Fishman Beley Family Law Associates. Len’s son, Noah Fishman, joined the firm in 2012.
Len has argued cases in the courts of Manitoba and has taken two important cases to the Supreme Court of Canada.
Len lectured and mentored law students in the Clinical Family Law course for over ten years and was co-course head of the Family Law section of the Law Society’s Bar Admissions Program for over ten years. He currently lectures in the Intermediary Family Law course for Community Legal Education Association (CLEA) and is counsel to Jewish Child and Family Service in child welfare proceedings.
He has contributed to the education of students and peers for the Law Society of Manitoba in numerous Continuing Legal Education programs.
Len maintains an active role in the reform of the law, the legal process, and is committed to the efficient and professional delivery of legal services.
